About My Connection to Jeju

Jeju is not just where I live; it’s my forever home; it’s where my heart belongs. My wife, a proud Jeju native, and I have made this island our home, returning to raise our two children in this vibrant community.  Together, we strive to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Jeju, ensuring a bright future for the next generation.

Family

My wife’s parents, five sisters, and brothers all still live on the island.  The family has a farm in Donggwang-ri, five minutes from St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju.  We also have 19 nieces and nephews in Jeju.  Family gives us an even more reasons to stay here in Jeju and an even greater connection to the community.  On the family farm, we grow Kiwis (in the greenhouses seen in the image), soybeans, buckwheat, potatoes, sesame seeds, and other crops.
